something we did for fun during lunchtime at an airsoft game at ttwgsc, wouldve liked to add more footage but we were kinda hogging the area and others wanted to use it. this was also a chance to explore the usage of camera angles and scene transitions, also new are *OTHER PEOPLE* in my vid which required a bit of directing.

VFX done in adobe after effects and footage shot on my sanyo waterproof camera.

this IS my first time making any sort of scripted sequence with camera angles and actors other than myself so dont expect any oscar winning stuff here, but i enjoyed making it so stay tuned for more!

notes:
- why am i pouting my lips in the first shot? i honestly have no fucking clue

- found out that it really helps in believability when you motion track EVERY effect used

- yes we did have bbs inside our magazines which explains the rattling

- whilst i know that firearms dont discharge such huge muzzle flashes, it would otherwise be extremely difficult for the audience to know when a gun is firing other than the sound, which deducts the immersion. oddly enough it seems that making things exaggerated and unrealistic assists with the audiences perception of 'realism' in the movie, kind of like how everyone thinks an uzi is an inaccurate bullet hose when its in fact one of the most precise smgs in the world.

- credit really needs to go to peter and arthur playing dead and lying in the 38 degree sun for 15 mins to avoid continuity errors

- originally there was supposed to be a grenade scene followed by an orgy of grammaton cleric inspired dual wielding carnage, but time constraints and the fact that only 5 people were willing to venture out into the burning sun kinda shelved that idea. still gonna consider that for a future vid tho.

- i seriously need a better camera, anyone willing to give me a big bag of money for a canon eos 600d?

- on that note, anyone also willing to give me a shitload of money for a beastly pc? my laptop was struggling quite a bit to render this short vid on aafx

  • omg!! are they ok?

  • Pretty cool, tbh for this you should have muted the clips and over dubbed all of it with sound affects (aka stops the rattleing of bbs in the mag and differents sounds in new clip :P)
