"The Dragon, the Hero", starring Liu Chung Liang, Dragon Lee and Ko Fei. The early years of the dreaded (or awesome, depending on your viewpoint) Godfrey Ho era brings us a full platter of strange: everything from a superkicker and a Bruce knockoff to a sort-of Kung Fu Mega Man, and especially a freaked-out Chan Lau as an eccentric rich guy who feeds a doggie his prized Ball Park frank (although the film tries to suggest something more gruesome than that). And, my God in heaven, these voices!

  • Wait, I think this might be the same crew of dubbers as in Fearless Hyena.

...Oh my God, I've been watching these for far too long.

  • @RockoMyler Don't feel bad; I'm having the same revelations about certain films. Going purely by memory, I recently realized the 'Eagle's Claw' people worked on 'Point the Finger of Death' (candidate for World's Dumbest Kung Fu Title). I need to buy a copy of that one before it gets too rare.

  • hey great work!

where did this wide version come from boss!?

  • The video came from the Crash Cinema release, which is uncut AFAIK, but it's only in Mandarin and had embedded subtitles (I cropped out the English). The audio's from a very old, very edited tape.

  • Godfrey Ho?...the same guy responsible for the movies of Pierre Kirby?

  • The same. If it weren't for his pet Dragon, he might've been a bit more legit.

  • @GrupYagmur01

the title song is called 'The Big Gundown' by Ennio Morricone (used for a Spaghetti Western of the same name) and has been used in the movie Secret Rivals as well
