Yes, it is true, the monument was not a symbol of occupation, it was made for the fallen soldiers, who died fighting the Nazis. It was created by an Estonian.

Im from Estonia. Theres alot manipulated and false information. Russia is trying to get nations against eachother to create war in Estonia. Russian government provoked and organized riot in Estonia. Estonia removed monument becouse it symbolizes soviet union-s occupation. Fascism died out with Hitler, Estonia has nothing to do with fascism - its propaganda against Estonia. i used to understand that estonians looked at russia in a very negative way because of the occupation but then i found out how generally estonians glamourize the nazis. high ranking government officials as well take part in this nazi sympathy and take part in this yearly commemoration march for the local estonian ss militia. nobody is talking about moving the ss memorial in tallinn. somebody should blow it up.
