  • The bike we got at a bike store and adapted it for her adding on training wheels. The bike was not cheap but the nice thing about it is that the seat slides up and back/down and forward and the handle bars are moveable too. In addition, it is relatively low to the ground so easier to step over.

It didn't really work out for her, the training wheels weren't supportive enough so we have now purchased a 3 wheeled bike since balance is such an issue for her.

  • Yes, you did comment on the first one - that's cool. Alex is now 13 and she really doesn't allow anything to stop her - she loves to sing/dance/act and has been in productions since she was in 2nd grade. She also has spastic diplegia and underwent many surgeries to help her to be more mobil. What is your story (if you care to share)?

  • i have cerebral palsy too but its mild so it doesnt affect me as Alex but we almost have the same diffculties

  • where'd Alex get the bike from? I have CP and would be interested in that. And how does Tacoma react around horses?

  • I was privileged to work with Alex at the Arizona Broadway Academy this past summer. I worked with her for two weeks as a music/acting teacher. Seeing her live her life and sing, act, and dance on stage with all of the other kids was probably one of the most amazing things I've gotten to experience. Such a wonderful, sweet girl with a big heart and a love for life. She was such an inspiration to me and I'm so blessed to have met her! and I loved Tacoma too! May God bless you and your family!

  • i know i commented on the last one, but how old is alex now? (i'm 17 with spastic diplegia)
