Most of my arrangements are created from lead sheets -- this one took some Real Book lead sheet as a starting point.
The process of arranging starts by learning the chords and melody as units. Then I start playing the melody using harmonies when possible/needed. I prefer not to annotate anything, so the arrangement evolves "naturally".

How long have you been playing uke? And how do you figure out your arrangements, if you don't mind me asking? I guess I'm just asking about your musical background....

As a tip: learn all your chord inversions.
