This video features a collection of clips as a tribute to one of my favorite silent film era stars and a real pioneer in the industry: Luke the dog. Luke appeared in a number of early silent comedies due to the fact that his owners - Roscoe (Fatty) Arbuckle and his wife Minta Durfee - both worked at the Keystone Studio.
The music for this is a recording from 1924 of "Dog On The Piano" by the "Arcadia Peacock Orchestra of St. Louis".

For those who have asked, in my opinion the best place to find more of Luke is on the excellent DVD set "The Forgotten Films of Roscoe Arbuckle".
