America's quad jumping great! First man to land 3 quads in a program. This program is posted often, but I hope perhaps this Grand Prix final has been overlooked. Memorable for the triple loop wipeout at the end! If you have ever got over on your boot and missed a loop jump (or a forward outside swing roll -- inside joke), you know just how Tim feels!!!

  • that american commentator is such a tard lol, goebel is so amazing, and yes that is why the loop is so scary to learn :P

  • Harumpffttttt! Now you know Dick Button is a "Harward" graduate!!! far from retarded.......but anyone with cleavage like you have, can say anything she likes.........CHILDREN...."avert your eyes"!!!! best wishes...........but no more name calling!!

  • No, for once Dick Button isn't a "tard." He kisses Timothy's ass even though he FELL, what more do you want? And he never WAS amazing, if he were he would have learned to stop making stupid mistakes like he do all through this performances. Why do you think he retired early? The loop isn't "scary" to learn, the AXEL is, and the jump that you're talking about was a SALCHOW not a LOOP, moron.

  • No....his foot slipped out on the LOOP. best wishes

  • glory, i remember watching Goebel's program as a kid and falling in love with iceskating!

  • It's a hard knock life......we need to appreciate our skaters (Knights of the Round Table) not abuse them.....He was an important figure in the development of our sport. best wishes

  • Yeah, Quads without a triple axel took him real far, all the way to TWO YEARS later and he retired because he wasn't been able to land a triple axel since the Oly's of 2002, isn't that exciting.

  • Yes, it is strange that someone with such quick air rotation, doesn't have a natural gift to hold it in a spin........probably a question of emphasis. But quads will take you a long way!!!!! best wishes

  • wow that loop was wierds:), i have a video of me doing that haha!:)

he is amazing at jumps but not so much at spins!but still outstanding
