It takes your breath away. These people had so much pride. You can tell just from how they dressed and how they carried themselves. No hippies, no communists, no lazy dole dossers, no multi-culti, no celebrities. Just trade, empire and greatness. Civilisation had reached it's peak before World War One.

It's interesting to think about enjoying the images of people and city streets ...watching them going about their lives................over 100 years ago.

Much as I love this era, they didn't seem to smile a lot - perhaps they thought it 'incorrect' to smile at a camera!
