am i the only one who just works with one desktop and barely uses the multi-desktop function? imho alt + tab was always enough to switch between applications.

@K7Andre apparently gnome developers decided gnome2 is just junk in terms of portability and it doesn't work that well on touchscreen-based devices.

we, the users, should accept the fact that linux software developing companies don't give a flying f*ck about how linux users want to use their computers. it's a myth that in linux software world big business rules don't apply. fortunately there are some alternatives to this gnome3/unity bs, at least for now =/

Ubuntu made useless, unproductive, buggy "Unity" - but why did gnome need to FAIL just as bad ? - what's wrong with god old Gnome2 ?

GNOME3 is fine and all, but nothing will ever be as fast as gnome 2.x with Gnome-Do. Litterally every program on your comp is within 3 keystrokes

@Xenkth Are you a developer? I have my music player and other various things on one desktop, switch to the next to get rid of all the clutter and work with my main apps. I think it's awesome :)

@Xenkth probably yes. multi-desktop is awesome. I use it everytime i use gnome(=everyday)
