  • I remember hearing about this show. It was at the old Celeberty theatre in Anaheim durring a NAMM (1990, I think). The theatre had a revolving stage (like the old YES shows).

  • Thanks for the info!

  • I am fairly certain that is not pat thrall.

  • I am most certain your WRONG!

  • Sorry, just does not look like him. Sounds a little like him. why is glenn not playing bass? He was the sole bassist in huges/thrall. Curious as to the background of the video is? Who recorded and when and so on.

  • Check out the video of Hold Out Your Life. Glenn walks up to him and says good to see you Pat.

  • why does it look like glenn weighs like 1238 pounds?

  • NYGman is totally correct...I was there. This was an off-site concert at the start of the 1990 NAMM show. It was on a rotating stage, and that is in fact Pat Thrall; they were loud as hell, but it was still cool to see Hughes & Thrall together live. There were a few other acts that came on before-hand (like "Tackhead" with bassist Doug Wimbish & drummer Keith Lablanc. It was a cool show for sure; I hope this clarifies a few things..:>)

  • glenn was so high on this video

  • YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • PETA is so ineffectual. How many poodles had to die for that singer's hairdo?

  • thanks for this rare video.

  • wHOEVER laughs at this... I can´t believe thies is Glenn Hughes....

  • Anyone else think the intro to this song was inspired by "Message In A Bottle" ?

  • This I believe is from a Hughes/Thrall one off reunion, not from the original tour. The original tour, was only about a dozen or so dates throughout California and Texas. The lineup for that tour, besides Glenn and Pat,was Tommy Aldridge on drums and Jesse Harms on keys. And,yes Glenn looks like the Goodyear blimp in this video.

  • Gotta laugh at those who doubt this is Glenn. Yes, he was more like Glenn HUGE at the time because of the weight gain, but it is indeed THE Glenn Hughes of Trapeze/Purple fame. The drummer may be either Frankie Banali or Gary Ferguson, both of whom played on the H/T album. There is a video here on Youtube of Hughes looking about the same (BIG!) when he was singing for Black Sabbath. Hughes Thrall were a great band who had it all; killer tunes, killer players.
