Totally agree. Very similar with my dear departed old papa, he loved all the old crooners esp. Matt Monro and Andy Williams. My brother is named Matthew and I am Andrew.

This will be played at my Nan's funeral next week. Matt Monro was one of her favourites so it is quite fitting. This song in particular is incredible. I struggle to fight back the tears every time I hear it. Why do I keep hitting the replay button? It's beautiful.

We played this at my fathers' funeral as he loved Matt Munroe along with Nat King Cole and all the old time greats. Dad was a great singer himself and adored by all. We miss him terribly but we had him a long time. 89 years. Lilke you we felt it was a beautiful song for a fabulous husband and father.

This song is so beautiful.Deliverd by the Master at the top of his craft.Matt Monro,was for my money,the best british singer ever.No one can sing, Softly, like Matt. His delivery tugs at your heart. I am in the same boat as colinr28071 and TangledupinBlue 10,it brings tears to my eyes every time i hear it. I have to leave the room if there are people there,because i dont want them to see me blubber. Thank you Matt,for such beauty. By the way,Matt,s son looks like him and sings like him.
