    The acting in this scene is brilliant. The way he gives an "mhm" to her when she says, "You're lactose-intolerant now." Perfectly natural.

    i believe that they were ablibing while still relating to the charactor they play in the movie.

    I don't know how much is scripted in the movie if any.
