Probably more than 13 of the 39 signers of the Constitution were freemasons. Because it was a secret society, probably twice as many than publicly admitted, maybe more.

The history channel needs to change its name to the "innuendo channel". The only thing they haven't brought in so far are aliens. I'm watching it solely to see if they do so! This show is getting more and more absurd. They had to belong to a secret society because if they had said they were thinking of rebelling and separating from England in public they would have gotten themselves hanged and there would have been no revolution. Thank God for the Masons!

The History Channel needs to double check its facts. Because it wasn't the 18th Clause that gave Congress "exclusive legislation in all cases whatsoever" but rather the 17th. However this "plenary power" was in fact restricted to a mere 10 miles square. And such jurisdiction was further constrained to preside over only those very limited & specifically delineated subject matters; primarily those powers delegated in Article 1 Section 8. Therefore not the resurrection of "tyranny" portrayed here.
