@wow85 I know. I agree with you. but it isn't brainwashing like what Rita did. Zaps you with a magic wand so you become evil. for him it was normal. he was clearly on the side of the demons

@wow85 I really don't see then why we are debating this. Ryan was socially conditioned/brainwashed into doing what he was doing. he helped the demons willingly

@227060 ...and planned on leaving mariner Bay all together until he chose to stay. after that he suffered the curse as punishment but he carried on regardless. Diabolico had no hold over him beyond the web of lies he had constructed around him. And I doubt if Diabolico would have killed him. He'd spent years training this kid who was now a Ranger. even if he had killed the Rangers why kill him if he was a loyal servant

@wow85 No he wasn't at least not int he same way that Tommy or kat were brainwashed. He was takena s a kid and raised in a certain way. In that sense he was brainwashed. But he wasn't being magically controlled or anything. He believed the demons' lies and was happy to help them. He was loyal to them hence he helped them, no one was FORCING him to help them as exemplified when he straight up left them...

@wow85 No no no. I wasn't referncing his character motivations more the layout of the scene itself. its similar to Tommy's white ranger intro but also reversed since he is introduced in a scary manner by the villains with the purpose of defeating instead of helping the Rangers. Regardless of whether he joined of his own valition owever, Ryan beleived the Demons to be 'good' and was still helping them willingly was he not? Also there as nomagic brainwashing involved so...
I LOVE the Titanium Ranger as he was the FIRST American-made Power Ranger and his suit was based on the suits from Kousoku Sentai TurboRanger.
