I wish I could like these comments more than once!
I love this. I'm a huge fan of birds that most people would consider ugly (turkey vultures are my personal favorites, followed closely by California condors, and I like adjutant storks as well). I just kind of "feel" their beauty.
@aeronpanick Well, at least you and I know what true beauty is!
My children did, too, at an early age. We visited zoos often (at least once a week) and their favorite birds were the Waldrapp ibises and the various vultures, and my youngest son especially loved warthogs and babirusas.
That's not to say we don't love the traditionally outwardly cute or beautiful ones, too. It's just that real beauty is something you have to sense with all your senses, not just your eyes.
you're so right! i also hate those people judging animals by their own primitive beauty standards. i love leptoptilos-storks, especially the Greater Adjutant. i think they are much more beautiful than most human beings...
I love these birds. They're absolutely remarkable.

@magickitty0128 I agree - there needs to be a LOVE button to click, both for exceptional videos and great comments!

I hate to hear other visitors call these birds "ugly".
They and the roseatte spoonbills are my favorite birds at the Bronx Zoo and at the National Zoo.
And I think they are all beautiful!
