How Do You Sound It Out? - A Song to Teach Children to Write Words Like They Sound

This song helps children memorize the steps for sounding out a word, and gives four different examples of how to do that.  Plus, children love to sing this song because each word that they sound out results in a fun action to do, such as run, jump, swim, or fly!

Here are the steps that help teach children to sound out and write words:
Step 1. Say the word.
Step 2. Stretch out it.
Step 3. Write the first sound.
Step 4. Stretch out it.
Step 5. Write the middle sound.
Step 6. Stretch out it.
Step 7. Write the ending sound.
