Unbelievably it was Mellisai Mannar M.S.Viswanathan who scored music for this song.

Mythological movies were popular even in late 80s. K.Shankar directed many movies like Navagraha Nayaki, Mupperum Deiviyar, Meenatchi Thiruvilaiyadal, Velundu Vinaiyillai, etc. Famous heros like Vijayakanth and Prabhu acted in those movies. And Sivaji Ganesan starer Rajarishi was also a super hit movie.

Ilaiyaraja scored music for Rajarishi, Bala Nagamma & Thai Mookambi. Otherwise it was M.S.Viswanatha, the long associate of K.Shankar from Alayamani was the default. And M.S.V came up wonderful tunes for these movies.

Thenikal kattadha thenkoodu is Anuradha song added for commercial reasons. Whether it was Ilaiyaraja or M.S.V, Vani Jayaram seemed to be a default singer for Anuradha songs. For Silk Smitha, Ilaiyaraja predominantly used S.Janaki and P.Suseela got some good number. But M.S.V used L.R.Eswari for Silk songs. But for his own production Silk Silk Silk, he used Vani Jayaram also. And used S.P.Shailaja in Sivappu Sooriyan for Silk (Naan Kanda Kanda Ambalaiya).

closest first choice in almost all of their club #s

SG composed for more movies than any other MD's

( especially during the 80's)

and there was always one VJ +Anuradha..sigh !

So-so song! Capt Vijayakanth is jerking throughout! Even when Anuradha is there, This is only a 'hearable' song not a 'viewable' song :)
