The original and colorful story of this fearsome pirate who preyed on Caribbean trade routes. In addition to colorful drama and incisive insights into its complex subject, "Blackbeard: Terror at Sea" unfolds against the tapestry of America's infancy and explores the surprisingly democratic life that pirates experienced at sea.

  • Just realised this dosnt cover the loss of his flagship the QAR.

Did he deliberately sink it and swindle the other captains under his command, making off with all the plunder?

  • YOU ARE A PIRATE!

  • thanks for uploading.......

  • @fairypowderpuff either way, they should re-make this as a full theatrical release. I don't mean take this documentary and release it to theaters, I mean make a proper pirate movie in exactly this style, but minus the documentary commentary.

  • @mrsparkle001 I do not know what version this is. I am guessing that it is the BBC one as this film was produced by the BBC in the United Kindgom and National Geographic in the USA. If you see the one above, you will notice that it is like watching a normal film, while the one on DVD produced by the National Geographic is a Film Documentary which is much more interesting and informative.

  • @fairypowderpuff Hmm so what version is this? Where's it from? I did see the National Geographic version.

  • @mrsparkle001 the version of this film on youtube has lots of scenes missing/and is also slightly different to the National Geographic DVD version which is the one you may have seen

  • Edward Teach was a badass mofo.

  • OLD ROGER ... HAHAHA idiots documentarians... JOLLY ROGER came from the French expression "LE JOLI ROUGE" because RED was the colour of the flags on the first Pirate ships...

    AhRRR !

  • @atomcraft well said Teach... well said.....

  • @AndyMcNabStab It however IS the most historically ACCURATE Pirate movie so far!
