  • Creio que os Beatles deveriam ser chamados de The Brasilian Mutantes

  • CHUCHU = TOO MUCH

  • @jylerme boa

  • @Lucas32087 faz melhor bostão!

  • ...which could be translated as “everything is really fine”. Just after saying that, though, he adds “tomate maravilha” (“marvelous tomato”), expression created by himself that generates a sort of dadaist imagery.

** reference to “Ando meio desligado” (“I’ve been kinda disconnected”, their 1970 song and album.

  • *”Pra chuchu” is an untranslatable Brazilian expression. As escorel89 said, “chuchu” means chayote, but “Pra chuchu” is a very informal and funny expression used as an adverb of intensity. It’s interesting to observe that Arnaldo has a particular preference for curious expressions with vegetables: in “Vou me afundar na lingerie”, from his masterpiece “Loki”, the same Chuchu appears in another very interesting Brazilian expression, “Chuchu beleza”...

  • Free translation. My English isn’t very good and the song has many ambiguous and extremely funny expressions, which makes the task of translating specially difficult. If it sounds silly, then, it probably is because of me or of translating limitations.

    Today, everything has changed

    Yesterday I loved you

What you give to me, it’s so beautiful I’d die for it

    So beautiful, Oh! Oh! Yeah!

    It’s very nice pra chuchu*

    It’s very nice pra chuchu

    It’s very nice pra chuchu
