Thanks for the video. You helped me w/ sexing pileated woodpeckers. I got turned on to them when I watched one pecking the crap out of a rotted weeping willow stump in my yard.

what caused the glitches in the picture quality?

Just saw your amazon review. I'm looking for a new camcorder myself. Did this camera come with a USB cable to upload video to a computer? Does the video work with iMovie 08? Please let me know if you can. Thanks :-)

@shethewriter The camera does have a usb cable, but I always just pull out the SDcard and put it in an on-board or external card reader. Your iMovie question is an interesting one, but I do not know the answer. I was able to find another nest in 2010, but I have yet to edit the video footage.

Hi:
Sorry, but this comment box will not accept the character count of my original replies to your questions. The short version is 1) sixty feet away, hidden and shooting through the leaves of two closer trees, and 2) Fully process your clips by doing a "Render" first, before doing your cuts and edits, etc. It's a long process that takes several hours to complete before you can continue. Your software may not allow you to bring in your footage without re-naming your files before import. Orin
