i never like this woman as an umpire or a player. She plays in my club, and she cheats her way to win matches, so much for being an official as her hobby.

@LookB3hindU I also happen to coach Ellen. After the match, I walked over to the umpire just to explain to what happened. Her response: I do not have time, I am busy and walked away.

@gfrontosa Yeah...this is really bad, I thought it was going to just be another case of US umpires being hard asses, but this is just...stupid.

As I mentioned above, I tried to explain what happened to the umpire after the match. Also she knows me well, but she would not give me time of day. I reiterated the incident to several umpires whom I knew and was told a lot of folks have problems with her. In fact, a tournament organizer from the Bay Area told me after one time of having her, she has not been invited back because of her attitude.

On a seperate situation, I commend 4 or 5 umpires who had the guts to call service faults regardless who the player was. In the cadet and junior boys, there were a lot of players that pushed the service rule. The most common fault was a low throw and tossing the ball backward. The other was presenting the ball on an open palm and then moving it to a different position closer to the body to hide the contact point.
