Iv been using this kind of machine now for 8 months, I would say my tattoo is half faded, it takes a long time and you practically have to burn yourself alive. My tattoo was brand new and done by a professional., I recon another few treatments and i will be nearly there

Hi there i'm also using the ipl, and i'm finding it better to actually hold the light on not just spot it as the pain fades out with use and kills when just spotting it i have noticed a difference in a couple of my tats so can assure you it does work it just bloody hurts is all, good luck

99% tattoo fade even half the time after one treatment is still pretty good. I dont know of any lasers that can get 99% tattoo fade in one treatment. There are so many variables when it comes to tattoo removal. The artist could have applied several different layers and depth of ink in each square inch of tattoo. Some areas will fragment completely. some might need several treatments before any fading. Also ink chemistry plays a big part. Tattoo inks are not regulated who knows what is used.

Chemicals called cytokines and interferon gamma get released when the body gets an injury. These chemicals initiate phagocytosis/macrophage cells to gobble up the altered tatto ink particles. There needs to be blood flow to remove the cells with the pieces of ink from the area. I recommend Colostrum supplements, water and excercise to boost your immune system to creat more macrophage cells. Colostrum has chelating properties(removes metals from the body)This will quicken the process.

Hand tattoos are the hardest because of the distance away from the heart and they are less vascular. Check out this excellent blog on ND YAG Medical laser tattoo removal. I feel it is the most realistic. Tattoo removal sites just put up there best before and after pics. Most I supsect are photo shopped. I feel I am honest about what Black Magic IPL can do.
