@bruceduece1 Your comparison is apples and oranges. Judges have the power to put you in jail for contempt; to be in Contempt of Congress requires the Committee to vote on it, pass it, and then refer the contempt citation to a real judicial body. The true test would be if the rest of the Committee felt the General was being contemptuous of the Congress. She did not threaten the General with contempt, did she?

@Kkaayynnoo The appropriate title for a judge is, "your honor." If you were arguing a case in an appelate court and called the male judges, "your honor," and the female, "maam,' you would probably lose her vote. This is all old hat anyway. She got reelected in spite of the fact her opponent campaigned on little else but this non-issue. Boxer's opponent ran a nasty, negative campaign devoid of substance. She deserved to lose; she appealed to hatred, much like the idiots on this page.
