  • How is that INVESTING thing going for you. The unemployment rate is up to 9.4 percent and climbing.

  • Anyone here think that Bush should have thrown Social Security into the stock market?

  • "The time is now near at hand which must probably determine whether Americans are to be, Freemen, or Slaves whether they are to have any property they can call their own whether their Houses, and Farms are to be pillaged and destroyed, and they consigned to a State of Wretchedness from which no human efforts will probably deliver them. The fate of unborn Millions will now depend, under God, on the Courage and Conduct of this army George Washington to his troops before the battle of Long Island

  • actually I am not a redneck, I don't live in a trailer, and I do not believe in incest, and on top of that I am probably smarter then you

    so piss off.

  • No it's a mess and I don't trust Government to fix it. Government officials usually are those who are smart enough to make it on the outside.

  • hasn't raised taxes on anyone? care to withdrawl that states?

    btw, fuck you

  • "to bolster some of these companies"...

I think that's the heart of the problem, my friend. Who gets government money (OUR money) and who doesnt.

Not a very easy job is it.

  • I would carefully think through giving out loans to bolster some of these companies. There is an emotional way to look at it and a realistic way which is to let failures.......fail. Pick up the pieces after that. People can't keep living beyond their means.

  • Faced with insolvency of the major banks, and n evaporating real estate/credit market. What would you propose to do?

  • But don't kid yourself thinking these Democrats care about the "little guy". The money they are spending isn't to help, it is to gain power by making more voters dependent on their programs!
