Does the PageRank of Twitter profiles matter?

Mani in Delhi asks: "I'm seeing Google PR for some Twitter profiles, even a PR of 4 for someone with less than 50 followers and 100 tweets, whereas for some more meaningful profiles there is no PR. Does PR of Twitter profile pages matter?"

Its a bad practice to no-follow links on social sites, may as well no-follow all links then.

The owners of these pages should be the ones to decide what links should be no-followed. Links that ain't no-followed on such sites, should be judged independently of the main site.

I agree whole heartedly with the idea that you should focus on engaging users on Twitter. It is also worth mentioning that most active Twitter users use the service through client software and/or mobile devices. This means that your profile page does not accurately reflect the traffic/interest/buzz it may be receiving. But again, focusing on engaging your followers will only bring positive results.

About Twitter , its really sucks. I don't know why people using twitter. I think Qaiku is much better than twitter. Its all about marketing. one day twitter will also dissapear :D .

All backlinks are valuable. dofollow and nofollow are just a tool to reduce spam. pr is just like authority. Guys always concenterate on content. if content is good you will get lot of backlinks, readers always spreading links of good articles. have fun.
