@Mkoberland thats why i think 1 and 2 are BEYOND typical horror movies, they are perverse and twisted works of art. They challenge the concepts and images we have of heaven and hell, the limits of man's obsessions and morality. Such great movies, helped of course by a score that NO other horror movie that i know of has dared to try, i mean having a bombastic orchestra in a horror movie? awesome.

@VictorVonFox I agree, Clive Barker's hell is very different from what's in the Bible. I think the Hellraiser films, at least 1 and 2, have been much more about the darker side of humanity, and deviant behavior
