  • I dont want you to think this is a complaint, but now try that 3000ft up a mountain in the pissing rain with a 40MPH wind @ 2 deg C,so to re-cap ON A COLD ,WET & WINDY MOUNTAIN,and not in the kitchen .

  • I think you may have missed the point of this video, it was to compare the ability to boil water with a very good backpacking set up compared to a kitchen stove. Ask your self --how would the kitchen stove do in the cold windy conditions you mentioned ? Not very well !!

  • What kinda gas canister is that? I have a pocketrocket and someone told me that I should only use MSR canisters. Something about threads not matching up.

  • This is a jetboil canister --they are universal

  • @katygfmu i have a pocket rocket and a jetboil PCS and the fuel canister threads are a universal pattern. they recomend to use their own fuel blend as well (probably what that person told you) but the fuels are pretty much the same too

  • In addition to altitude (comments indicate 200 feet) you need to specify starting temperature for the water. This can vary widely - in some mountain towns its around 40F while in some areas during the summer it's around 70F.

  • Bout two hours overall burn time

  • that's a fast little pocket rocket! how long would the canister last?

To help with the heat and storage try a PotPal.

  • i fill my PrimusEta up an inch from the top to boil corn, shrimp, eggs, etc. using my penny stove or my "DragonStorm" Stove and it is really fast. It is even faster than MSR pots or any other pot i have tried. And believe me you use less fuel.

  • great video...what alcohol stove setup would you recommend for best results with a primua eta power pot (to boil 16 to 32 ounces of water)?

  • someone want to chat

i cant watch this video No

  • Thank you Sir for your reply,I ment no disrespect, and as you say it was a compareson between the pocket rocket and the kitchen cooker, but as i tend not to take the kitchen cooker onto the hills with me but i do with the pocket type cookers i have found many times they need protecting from the elements.and Please feel free to comment on any of my videos,Sorry for the missunderstanding.
