@DTIESTO16 So you cant call the olympic taekwondo a taekwondo. because you cant punch. LOL
-
do you all agree that learning materials arts is the way of fighting????

When i got into MMA most of the guys would fear being kicked from all angles, not just muay thai head, body, leg roundhouses.
They were and still are on edge because of my kicking ability, so TaeKwonDo does and can contribute alot to MMA practitionors.

@BLADEMASTER998 agreed, i consider him the first true mixed martial artist and even he understood this. glad to see people who see things in a somewhat similar fashion...

@chitownazn90 "There is no superior martial art, only the superior man" -Bruce Lee I think that quote pretty much says it all

i used to do tae kwondo and i loved it but i wasnt doing any good because of my felxibility so i decided i would train my flexibility but then got interested in boxing and im wating till i turn 12 so i can get into a boxing group.But i kind of miss tae kwondo
i agree with sepewrath. taekwondo is only as powerful as the martial artist using it. i train in taekwondo and hapkido and i definetly can see where taekwondo can come through on the streets. one of the rules in taekwondo (mind you i read this one online) is 'il sok pil sai'. one strike to kill.
taekwondo kicks will put any opponent down in one hit if done correctly. but then again many of the other oriental arts out there are JUST AS powerful. respect all arts, they all are worthy of it

TaeKwonDo its not just the art of kicking.
TaeKwonDo its the art of kicking and punching.
Tae = Art of Kicking
Kwon = Art of Punching
Do = Martial Way of Life
