  • This kind of problem also happens in Japan. It's well known that any younger Japanese artists such as Ayumi Hamasaki,Orange Range try to copy from old school American music or Miyuki Nakajima,Yosui Inoue, and legendary Japanese singer-songwriters. I really hate it.

  • @waruwarugpx Hong Kong veteran singer George Lam 林子祥 recently said that the plagiarism is unavoidable because music materials are limited. But your own interpretation of music is unique. For example, Jay Chou, a famous pop singer from Taiwan, his melodies are quite simple but he gives them a very different interpretation. Pure plagiarism without personal identity is terrible.

The thing happens much difference in Vietnam.

Young Vietnamese singers are influented too much from Korea.

Vietnamese Youngers tend to hate SO belongs to classic.

I think following legendary composers is also good.

I know Jay Chou. He is very talented and knows how to make simple but one and only music pieces. And Miyuki Nakajima, her songs are also simple but also beautiful, meaningful and flexible like any other great singers such as Chinese talented super star, Faye Wong and Teresa Teng can interpret them into the new possibilities in any other languages.

  • there is something similar in the melody. but the modification technology is so high that make us hard to recognize
