  • Yes, many other engines was made by modifing id engines (halflife is using modified quake engine )

  • Nice try to turn that on me. Did you get that off a fortune cookie? Now maybe you should *read* those books. It's not my job to teach you. Vertex and local coordinates are 2 separate things. You'll learn this as you dip into those books. And I was with John Carmack when he won the award for community contribution for the Quake 3 engine. Have a nice day!

  • I think this argument is past any logical understanding or any desire to politely see a point of learning. In light of your suggestion, I do have and entire library of programming in 3d, as I have worked in the industry for major companies you may have heard of, for over 15 years. For you however I would recommend English as a 2nd language. That might help you communicate your thoughts more effectively. Good luck!

  • No, I'm very clearly not, though I'm not surprised you don't understand. All 3 dimensions accessible is not the same thing as having it be all polygons. Pick up a book on programming 3D engines and get back to me. Descent is very obviously true 3D. BTW - You are as in a contraction is "you're". End education.
