A parable is a short allegorical story designed to illustrate or teach some truth, religious principle, or moral lesson.
In the story, you see the mantis refuse to help the caterpillar - he turns his back on her and says "that's it for you!" Then to his surprise he is captured.
The catterpillar eventually becomes a butterfly and escapes only to come back and save the mantis.
I believe the parable is the Golden Rule:
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Though I despise bugs and insects. Seriously, they scare me to death, I kill the ugly ones whenever I can (if I'm not too scared too), Yet still, the music was soo beautiful I had to buy this on iTunes. Such an beautifully sculpted short film. Strong message, gold and diamonds to my ears, pure.
