***PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION***

It has been years since the Goblin Kings interaction with Sarah in the Labyrinth. After Sarah broke Jareths heart and left his Labyrinth forever, Jareth sank into a deep depression. Feeling it his only possible relief Jareth fled the Underground leaving his kingdom in disarray. He ascended to the Aboveground where he cut off his hair and tried to change his appearance to help him assimilate with the mortals. At first he adjusts to his new life, making friends and spending the fortune he procured from being King, but soon he sinks back into a horrible state when visions of the girl who broke his heart return. Sarah haunts his every waking moment causing Jareth to turn to alcohol in order to try and block her out. But the booze never works and Jareth blames Sarah. Blames her for his pain, his hurt, his failure, and most of all his complete loss of his own self. Soon everyone Jareth has met in the Aboveground leaves him because of self destructive behavior. Jareth hits bottom and finally realizes that no matter how much he hates Sarah for causing him so much pain, he will always love her and the visions are never going to leave him. He knows that when Sarah was with him he was the happiest and the memories just remind him of her. So he falls asleep and dreams of the ballroom where he danced with Sarah and touched Sarah for the first and only time. There he fell in love and while he sleeps, for a little while at least, he is at peace.
