I'll go out on a limb and say ArabStank is a mid-teenaged young man who cannot join the Armed Forces quite yet, and will leave it at that.

(And I'm a 13F, I do more than most regular-joe infantryman do, U.S Army or Nat'l Guard, considering FO's ARE infantry w/ a little more firepower. And when Nat'l Guardsmen deploy, we ARE Active Duty Army, there's no difference.. in down-time, enjoy 0400 PT, i'll enjoy my wife and kids, regular job, and free college.)

@TreJay You are by far ignorant. The National Guard is a selective reserve component of the U.S Army how is that not "actual military" Unlike the Standard U.S Army reserve, National guard allows you to have a Combat MOS. The National Guard is more then what it was 20 years ago, it is no longer a "cold war reserve" National Guard you can actually go full time, its not only 1 weekend a month. More guardsmen are deployed overseas then any other branch right now, Not real enough for you? Hooah!

The national guard is sloppy , unprofessional, pridefull , idiots in Halloween costumes, putting your civilian life on hold indefidently for an organization that's unorganized , holds no concern for it's soldiers !!!! Don't let your kids join the national guard , it's a waste of time!! And no federal points are applied!! You would have to do 20 years and at 65 receive like $250 month after 65 , wow big fuckin deal, for putting your life on hold for the people Who could care less  about you.

@ArabsStank hahaha tha Guard deploys as much, if not more, than active Army. Especially the 11b units. I'm in the Guard, 11b mos, and when I was in Afghanistan, we did MORE than the Active guys did, in fact, we actually had to save the active guys because they didn't know how to fuckin drive and got stuck outside the wire ha. Point being, when over seas, it don't matter what branch you are, we help eachother.
