  • Great Post! My name is Joe. My older Aunts would sing this in Grandma's kitchen. Great memories.

  • I don't get how someone could dislike this video. This man is a legend.

  • So great - this is the best professional version I've seen/heard, and the story before it makes it even better. Thanks for posting this; from Weed, NM.

  • Do you know a cowboy poem believed to be titled: Nevada Slim? It was taken from a pamphlet or booklet printed prior to WWII...we are trying to discover the author

Ma'am what you hear from Mr Edwards is one of the truest depictions of an era not that far removed from the present in the Oklahoma and Texas Territories. Oklahoma recently celebrated its 100th birthday. I consider myself fortunate for having been born into that culture. I urge you to read about that time and place. A good start would be to Google "Shootout at Ingalls, Oklahoma." I hope you enjoy all the history and "may the good Lord take a like'n to ya."
