  • @OoOJakeOoO That's not true at all, looks at all the 800m, 1500m runners - Rudisha, Lagat, Mo Farrah...

  • Kenyans and Ethiopians are blacks last time i checked.

  • truth.

  • Black people are faster than white people but white people can run longer distances.

  • dude, what are you talking about? asafa is 27 years old. This is the time he must run his best. the only reason he is not the same anymore is because he gets injured a lot

  • Powells' start and transition are already amazing, I think it's his last 30 - 40m that he needs to work on.

But I agree that he could get to Bolt's level if he worked at it diligently.

  • Powell had a less than ideal season due to minor injuries etc. He isn't done.

I'll point out that Tyson Gay had a decidedly bad season last year in not making the Olympic final, and also that he is 4 mos. older than Powell. However, I doubt that you would assert that Gay is done.

The 9.90 and 10.07 runs by Powell were exceptional performances, since both were on a cold, wet track and into a headwind, and the 10.07 was in the rain.

There's more to a good performance than just the time.

  • if powell has passed his prime then so has gay cus he just lost 2 him. powell can still run 9.6 easly he just needs a day with good weather.
