The future of the US? The rich will get richer, the poor will get poorer, the middle-class will die off, the sheepish masses will continue to vote for and believe in the corrupt two-party system, we will be involved in many wars all over the world, unemployment will hit 20+%, all crimes will rise, the government and military will be our main employers, businesses will continue to flee the US to China and other places, our debt will rise, the dollar will drop and eventually this kingdom will fall

The secret to life is stopping to take in what people take for granted everyday. The essence of life. take a deep breath, go to a park and enjoy the scenery, meditate and pray to give thanks to your creater. Life in itself is more than amazing but people have gotten so engulfed in their lives and "TO DO" list that they dont stop to enjoy the miracle of life.

We are already in post American world. We've seen fall of british empire and the emergence of american eagle. Now we are seeing fall of american power.

Next candidate - India, China or a group of nations, which might not contain western powers.

It's just a cycle, no super power can keep the pole position forever. Just deal with it, american dream is a long shot now.

America has helped every country it was ever at war with, including the UK, with schools, sanitation, railroads, etc. Oh, and police and military training.

What public opinion? You said NATO.

the uk actually came out for it, provided benefits such as schools, sanitation, railroads, etc. for their colonies, america is more of a surrogate policeforce (barely anyway)

its attacking anyone who doesnt see things "the american way", which is bound to piss people off.

then theres also the allies of the USA (NATO predominantly) who are starting to get annoyed with americas war mongering as well, our troops are dying after all for wars that shouldnt have taken as long as they should have (iraq and afghanistan for example)
