I was filming SP4449 and near the end of the train's first pass. I heard this sound coming from somewhere then I saw people looking up at the sky. I took the camcorder and the tripod and pointed it up and there it was-- something I had never seen before: a UFO over the SP4449. I then noticed there was a man operating the UFO. He took a few minutes to talk to a couple of people, but then he was gone. I would like to find out what that was and where to get one. So if you know leave me a comment. Even if you don't know leave me a comment. (watch in HD on full screen) Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE! Ervans Trains http://www.youtube.com/user/ervans

It is about nine minutes of amazing stuff. Cost is around $4,000 and up. But, great video can be shot with them. So far I have not seen train vids made from Mikrokopters.

  • @AnotherAmateur That does look a lot like it

  • quite remarkable, bit of footage, and information, probably your best day out, very good work, many thanks for sharing your work. from Dave in UK. your 4449 is probably as popular as our flying Scotsman, in terms of public interest, and thanks for keeping me posted, best wish to you.

  • Why didn't you go talk to him? I would have!!

  • @ervans Some students from the ECE department at my university are attempting to create an application-specific version of the "UFO" you saw... it requires a lot of sensors, control systems, and microcontroller code to make it work correctly, so unfortunately the high price tag does not surprise me.

  • @ervans The link doesn't seem to be working for the MikroKopter anymore :c
