@RIP77777 Yes, hate never makes any good. I guess that the matter of gear or no gear is a personal opinion, I'm in the raw club, but I don't hate on the geared lifters. :) You're very right. There's too much hate, and too little love.
-
@kraftsportNO Exactly...
@Phisker: What really discredits our sport is the fact, that every organization hate each other...Am i true, if i say that ONLY Raw means REAL powerlifting?Certainly not , despite the fact its my own opinion...There are too few lifters around the world, why to hate each other?This leads to nowhere and is not helping our sport at all
-
@PhiskerHangers I'd say there's plenty of steroid users in the IPF too! In all feds you have the cheaters. Of course there will be less cheaters in feds that are tested as compared to those with no testing. Just check the IPF list of suspended lifters for proof.

How's a 200kg deadlift for a 140kg 16 year old? Not 'supported or anything, I just did it in my ordinary clothes. I thought it was pretty good but then I watch vids of people doing 2x or 2.5 their bodyweight and all of a sudden my lift seems less impressive?

@TheTop20hits it's funny how young kids show how much they lift but never really become pro powerlifter or strongman. Mark Henry deadlift 900lb while in highschool, but you dont hear him talking shit
-
@TheTop20hits do you actually know how many lbs 400kg is? it doesnt sound like it. It is approximately 882. How will 700 even approach that?
Lifters like Bondarenko, Gillingham, Karpik, Hopper and Arvai are the people who got me into powerlifting.
Bondarenko is a beast, and makes those WPO and WPC lifters who squat with drugs, triple ply suits and no depth look like a bunch of overgrown sissies.
I agree wholeheartedly with your comments 9k58, and will go one further to say that organisations like the WPO and WPC are what discredit the sport of powerlifting in the eyes of the international sporting community.
IPF ALL THE WAY!

Well little Matthew! You were probably lifting 300 lbs when you were 17 years old. 300 lbs is about 135 kg. This is 400 kg, which is about 882 lbs.
