Well I am not "in love with this guy", in that sense! But I have seen him at the Wpg Folk fest before, and again this year. One of our favourites. We're watching for him coming thru the 'Peg to see him again.

Of course I move from Milwaukee three months back and now you're coming to Wisconsin twice in the next month. Please come back to Denver. I too saw Vance open for Carlin and at the end of the show I wished every one of the dollars I paid for that ticket went to Vance, best money you'll ever spend, a true artist!

Hands down my favorite Vance Gilbert song ever. I saw him when he opened for George Carlin in Great Falls, MT in 2006. When he sang this song the auditorium was absolutely silent, I am not surprised to hear that the outdoor setting is no different. This song is just that powerful.
