A beautiful compunctionate hymn written in the 12th Century This 1st Tone will sound different from the 1st tone chanted today as this is the time of the ancient byzantine empire period.

@SaphireMongoose - Interesting I hadn't even opened that cd yet haha... I don't even had a disc player working at the moment so I'll have to wait to play this in my car, but I see song #7 and it says it's 14th c, not 12th c. as titled here by vagos.

@geeker4history - I have the CD "Music of Byzantium" and this track is #7 therein: also happens to be one of my favorites on the CD.

@vagos2006 - Actually, I could not find this particular song recording on their website store. I bought three CDs Byzantium, Music of Byzantium and the Fall of the Constantinople. My research online has lead me to believe it is a separate work at a different time and may be on a single or yet another CD somewhere.
