This is a project on deaf culture I did for my journalism class. I highlighted Nathan Hale School as an example of a self-contained deaf program.

  • dakotaHayden your right if know about deaf hoh than WHERE ? is SUBTITLES?

IF Nathan Hale School program for deaf and hard-of-hearing KNOW! about subtitles smile ... C.I AND VOICEING AND ASL NOTgother no . that is wrong they need LOOK more in to (deaf life)... WE do not talk WE sign ! that is that form deaf DEAF

  • Technically, the teachers are using SIMCOM, not Total Communication. SIMCOM is speaking and signing at the same time. Total Communication is a philosophy that states you will use whatever means is necessary to communicate with a d/hh child.

  • i cant understand it! no subtitles for deaf....? that makes sense
