In the moments after the O. J. Simpson "chase". There's a detailed write-up about this call in Howard Stern's book, "Miss America" on page 473. Call was made by "Maury from Brooklyn".

I taped almost the entire "chase". I was watching McLaughlin Group that night, and just got curious about the NBA finals. Switched to NBC to find the split screen between game and OJ. Then to ABC. I figured 20/20 was coming on and it's a news show of sorts. I made sure the VCR was rolling just in case Something Happened. After I heard this call, I wasn't disappointed. After that, I couldn't care less what happened to The Juice. LOL.

    When did Conan say to come to this site? I saw the Baba Booey interview where he mentioned the call. I would like to thank him. Btw, the call was made/taped 17 years ago today! Thanks.

    Al Michaels went on Stern a few months later and talked about this. It's a pretty funny interview. He said he knew as soon as he responded he was going to come on Stern and get grilled (in a funny way) about it.
