  • Michiba is my man but chen is so adorable xD

  • that beef and vegetable salad is the best dish out of the lot IMO. maaaaaan loooks so gooood.

  • oh that darn chuam lam!! T-T "this is too sweet" =_='' grab a sugar packet and adjust to ur taste then XD

  • @jackster029 for cantonese people, like chua lam, we perfer to have the natural flavor. once the taste went too strong, he wouldnt be happy about it, because the beef would hv lost the natural flavor. also, the last dish was a very common family dish in hong kong, so the flavor wouldnt be surprising for him, and i dont think chua lam would expect that dish served on the table in an iron chef battle. it is because that dish is just sooooo common...

  • I think the second and the fourth dishes bring the chen's score down alot. if my memory serves me right, chen did say that szechuan braised beef was meant to serve in cold rather than hot. the reason that he served it hot was he didnt hv time to make it cold. putting cold food into hot food need to adjust the flavor to be lighter; otherwise, the taste would go too strong.

  • Is Michiba Morimoto's mentor?

  • two things 1 I HATE NEEDS MORE SALT KISHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII :d AND also go michiba

  • This show is a lot about just pleasing the Japanese pallet which they are really in love with. I like how they actually have someone Chinese taste the food though and be like "well, OK but this isn't a big surprise".

  • Chua Lan knows what he is talking about.

He can cook and eat. He tasted the BEST food in the world.

He's a director in several movies, he produced a few, he spoke several languages, and he knows what he's talking about.
