Epic Video Game Songs #2 The Battle With Magus

This playlist is dedicated to compiling the most epic and legendary video game theme songs in exsistance.

The subject of this EVGS is the villian turned anti-hero Magus, from the legendary Chrono Trigger.

Magus is the primary antagonist for a majority of Chrono Trigger's storyline. He leads the mystics in a war against humanity and is trying to summon the omnipotent Lavos. Latter on in the game, his true motives are revealed, and the player has the option of allowing him to join as an anti-hero.

The Battle With Magus, also known as Magus' Theme, is the song that plays whenever the player does battle with Magus. Towards the beginning of the song a gust of wind can be heard, which is a reference to Magus' line "The black wind howls..."

good lord. I picked Chrono trigger up when it was brand spanking new way back when for my SNES. that game devoured me. i must've spent the next 8 years playing the life out of it, and i loved every. single. second. magus was by far my favorite character. once i had him it was physically painful not to have him in my active party. plus the dark eternal triple technique was the most powerful thing ever... oh i could go on about him all day. thank you for making this number 2, at least.
