@morgielivie maybe you watched a big airplnes landing at SKP but at rnw 34, not 16. rnw 34 have Instrumental approach and no mountains, rnw 16 is visual aproach and the mountans are 5000 feet not meter so it's about 2000 meters, if you whant to see them open google earth and look north of the airport. or maybe even better go and ask a pilot who use to land a B737 at rnw 16 at SKP, he will tell you the for a nice landind or smoot descent you need to to have at least 10 km distance for 2000 m alt

WOW DID NOT SEE TOO MANY 5000MTR MOUNTAINS ON APPROACH IHAVE WATCHED A FEW OTHER LARGE AIRCRAFT LANDING HERE THEY DONT

for rnw 16 this is very nice landing. the problem with landing at rnw 16 is high mountain close to this rnw. approach for this rnw is over a mountain, about 5000-6000 feet, and just on couple miles pilots must desent very fast to 700 feet (airport altitude). only small airplanes can land nice and easy at rnw 16..
