COE Overview: College of Education

The College of Education consists of four academic departments and is home to Greenwood Laboratory School, the Child Development Center, the Institute for School Improvement and the Regional Professional Development Center.

The College has 96 full-time faculty, 2,000 majors and 1,175 students in secondary education programs. The College has the largest Teacher Education program in Missouri and enjoys a rich tradition of training teachers, counselors and administrators who occupy positions throughout Missouri and the United States.

The faculty and staff in the College of Education are committed to creating a legacy of learning to produce individuals with a commitment to a life-long learning disposition, strong 21st Century learning skills and the ability to compete in a global environment.
