Density 1.2*
For harmonium, accelerometer and super collider

A short description:

This is my first piece that involves playing on an acoustic instrument with a sensor attached to it.
How does it work?
The acceleration sensor, attached to the front part of the instrument, captures the physical movement of the harmonium.
Physical gestures are then used to control several aspects of the electronic sounds, and affects the musical material developments well.

This Performance took place at a Sonology department concert.

March 18, 2008, at Leiden, The Nederlands.

Amplification and recording: Angel Faraldo

* 1.2 kg/m3 is the density of air at sea level at 20 ºC, (a very nice day in Den Haag city).
* Density 21.5 is a piece by Edgar Varese.
