Never give it up. I played trombone in middle school band and wish I had kept it up. I still play every once in a while and was in the local concert band for a bit but have other obligations that prevent me from practicing as much as I'd like. Trust me though, I will make time soon!

She is playing a Basset Clarinet which is Pitched in A. It is essentially an A clarinet but extended from the normal low E to a low C. This instrument was the product of work done by Anton Stadler, whom the concerto was written for. He was obsessed with the low range of the clarinet. This instrument in my opinion should be used in both of Mozart's clarinet works the concerto and the quintet. Both of which can be found on Sharon Kam's Mozart CD.
