When I was on holiday in Jersey a few years ago, I remember I was sleeping on a sun lounger on the greve de leque beach. I was woken up by this guy sprinting across the beach shouting 'dolphins!'. So EVERYONE, and I mean everyone, ran out into the ocean to swim with them. It really was a magical experience. :)

Most of my family live in Jersey, I go over once or twice a year from Ireland. Lovely place.
Those islands are french and you know it. Greedy brits, just abusing them for tax purposes.

Yes they were part of the Duchy of Normandy when William the Conqueror invaded England in 1066 (oh will you look at that - England was British and William knew it, the greedy boy; some might say he was just abusing England for his own purposes, ahem) but the people of Jersey decided to stay loyal to England when King John lost his territories in Normandy in 1204. So I'm not sure what your point is.
