  • @A550RGY hmm...I would say it works the core, and the grip more than a standard DL because u use only one hand and it`s unstable but works the hamstrings and glutes less because you use less weight.

  • @thelovacluka I see, so it would be more of a core exercise than a deadlift replacement.

  • @A550RGY it`s a little bit more unstable so it works your balance and you have to brace your core a lot. it`s great actually.

  • Because this is such a squat-ish deadlift, you can't move nearly the weight you can with a barbell. That's the only reason it can be effective with the amount of weight you have on a dumbell.

  • @A550RGY if you're loading a lot of weight on a dumbbell and one handing it, it's supposed to give the core, back, and grip strength a workout but a bit of a boost. Just an option for if you plateau on the barbell. :)

  • its a deadlift, a shit variation

  • That's a squat

  • can be much better for core strength and strength for handeling uneven loads

  • Doesn't make sense... why would someone want to do deadlifts with only what you can hold in a single hand?
